About
Lara Harwood is an artist, award-winning illustrator and printmaker with a rich and diverse career in the creative industries. Since graduating with distinction from Camberwell College of Art, she has produced bold, uplifting work for clients including Royal Mail, Transport for London and theNHS Trust, alongside a vibrant personal practice in painting and printmaking.
Her distinctive images — both abstract and figurative — are rooted in drawing from life and a love of expressive colour, bringing energy and optimism to public art, illustration campaigns, and personal projects alike.
New Beginnings
In recent years, motivated by the urgency of the climate emergency, she took a sabbatical year to study Practical Sustainability with Shift Bristol. This transformative experience has marked a new chapter in her creative life, as she begins to weave regenerative practices into her work.
Now in a period of transition, Lara is exploring ways to combine her artistic skills with nature-connected, community-focused projects and commissions that invite people to reconnect with the natural world and consider their place within it. She continues to share her passion for drawing, travel, and cultural exchange through Creative Adventures in Morocco, working with fellow artist Tessa Pearson to guide sketchbook journeys through this richly colourful country.
