Stuff Of Dreams

Royal Shakespeare Company commissioned artworks from 12 artists as part of The Exhibition “Well Said” in Celebrations of 300 years since the Bard’s passing

My quote came from The Tempest, Act 4, scene 1, 161-171

Prospero

“These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air, And like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on: and our little life Is rounded with a sleep.”

I responded with Stuff of Dreams, a 3 min animation/installation beginning with ” The cloud capped towers” and goes on a farewell magical journey exploring the notion of time passing .

A rich mix of images which appear, fad, dissolve and melt into thin air.
